International Show Jumping – exklusiver geht nicht / nothing more exclusive

Wenn Gaston und Kathrin Glock zu ihrem alljährlichen Springreitturnier in Kärnten (Österreich) rufen, so folgen diesem Ruf unzählige Superstarts. Damit ist sowohl das Who is Who der internationalen Reitszene gemeint, als auch ein Aufgebot an Weltstars, was seinesgleichen sucht.

Glocks reputation for hospitality fast became legend. When Gaston und Kathrin Glock call for their annual showjumping in Carinthia (Austria), they are followed by countless superstars. With this both the Who’s Who of the international equestrian scene is meant as well as an array of world stars, which is unrivaled.

Das Turnier / The Tournament

Bei dem Turnier im GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER (GHPC) handelt es sich um ein hochkarätiges Springreitturnier in den folgenden Kategorien: CSI5* CSI2* CSIAm-A CSIYH1. Concours de Saut International (CSI) ist die Bezeichnung für ein internationales von der Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) ausgerichtetes Turnier im Springreiten. Springreitturniere werden in eine von fünf Kategorien eingeteilt, was die Anzahl der Sterne  kennzeichnet (je nach Schreibweise CSI* bis CSI***** bzw. CSI 1* bis CSI 5*). Die Einteilung erfolgt anhand der Höhe des Preisgelds. Je nach Kategorie unterscheiden sich auch die Anforderungen der Turniere, zum Beispiel durch die maximale Höhe der Hindernisse. Das Turnier 2016 wurde vom 16. – 19. Juni veranstaltet und gipfelte am letzten Tag mit einem Preisgeld im CSI5* von 350.000 €, insgesamt konnten mehr als 600.000 € an vier Turniertagen über alle Kategorien gewonnen werden.

The tournament in GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER (GHPC) is a top-class showjumping in the following categories: * CSI5 CSI2 * CSIAm-A CSIYH1. Concours de Saut International (CSI) is the name for an international orientated show jumping tournament by the Fédération Internationale Équestre (FEI). Showjumping tournaments are divided into one of five categories, which the number of stars indicates (depending on spelling CSI * CSI ***** up or CSI 1 * to CSI 5 *). The classification is based on the amount of the prize money. The requirements of the tournaments can differ, for example, by the maximum height of obstacles depending on category. The tournament in 2016 was held from 16th. –  19th of June and reached its climax on the last day with a prize in CSI5 * of 350,000 €. In total more than 600,000 € could be won during four tournament days across all categories.

Die Stars / The Stars

Und an dieser Stelle wollen wir zuerst über die Stars auf dem Reitplatz berichten. Insgesamt zeigten sich fünf Olympiasieger, sieben Weltcupgesamtsieger, fünf Weltmeister, über 20 Europameister und Continental Champions sowie mehr als ein Drittel der aktuellen Top 100 der Weltrangliste. Den Sieg des CSI5* holte Christian Ahlmann (GER) auf For Pleasure-Sohn Epleaser van’t Heike. Auch die weiteren Plätze 2 und 3 wurden von deutschen Springreitern besetzt.

And at this point let us first report about the Stars to the paddock. Overall, five Olympic champion, seven World Cup overall winner, five world champions, 20 European Champion and Continental Champions and more than a third of the current top 100 in the world rankings showed themselves. CSI5 * won Christian Ahlmann (GER) on For Pleasure-son Epleaser van’t Heike. The other places 2 and 3 were also taken by German show jumpers.

Das Areal und Event / The Area and the event

Was die Familie Glock dort in Kärnten im Ort Treffen (Gemeinde Villach) am Ossiacher See aufgebaut hat ist einzigartig. Schon alleine das GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER mit seinen Stallungen, Reitplätzen sowie großzügigen Reithallen ist beachtlich. Zum exklusiven International Show Jumping jedoch wird dem Ganzen noch einiges draufgesetzt. Zusätzlich werden eine Vielzahl von luxuriösen Zelten aufgebaut, die alles bieten, was das Reiter- und Besucherherz begehrt. Für die Reiter werden folgende Annehmlichkeiten exklusiv angeboten:

• Riders Lounge (inkl. Cocktail World Champion Team von Mario Hofferer, sowie Pizza Weltmeister Umberto Napolitano und Alfons Schubeck)

  Auch die Besucher des Turniers dürfen sich über erstklassige Gestaltung der öffentlichen Bereiche freuen. In der Public Lounge lässt Alfons Schuhbeck den Besucher an seiner Show teilhaben und ist mit seinem Team vor Ort. Der Besucher kann zwischen diversen Salaten, einer Auswahl verschiedener Burger und Desserts auswählen. Für einen Alpenburger zahlt der Gast 6,90 € und für eine halbe Augustiner vom Fass  3,20 €. Die Public Lounge ist ebenfalls hochwertig ausgestattet. Der Gast fühlt sich stets wohl und lange Schlangen und Anstehen gibt es auch nicht, da das Gelände sehr großzügig aufgebaut und die Organisation erstklassig sind. Selbst in Waschräumen herrscht ein Hauch von Luxus. Diese sind exklusiv eingerichtet und dekoriert. Hier könnten sich einige andere Sportveranstaltungen die Veranstalter etwas abgucken. Nur ein Beispiel: um anzuzeigen, dass ein Wc besetzt ist, wird dessen gläserner Griff von innen mit LED beleuchtet (Rot bedeutet besetzt, grün bedeutet frei). Für den Gast, dem die Stars auf dem Pferderücken sowie das Tagesprogramm noch nicht genug sind, bieten sich Karten des Veranstalters inklusive Abendprogramm an.

What the family Glock has formed (Vicinity of Villach) up there in Carinthia near Ossiacher See is unique. Solely the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER with its stables, paddocks and large riding arenas is remarkable. For exclusive International Showjumping it is topped again. In addition, a variety of luxury tents are set up in order to offer everything the riders and visitors hearts could long for. For the rider it offers recreational amenities exclusively:

The visitors of the tournament can look forward to first-class design of the public areas. In the Public Lounge visitors can partake to the show of Alfons Schuhbeck and his team. The visitor can choose between salads, a choice of burgers and desserts. For an Alpine Burger guests pay € 6.90 and for half liter Augustinian beer about 3.20 €. The Public Lounge is also equipped exclusively. The guest always feels comfortable and long queues you will not find there, as the terrain is established very generous and the organization is top notch. Even in the washrooms there is a touch of luxury. These are exclusively furnished and decorated. Here some other sports events such as racing or Polo could copy something. Just one example: to indicate that a toilet is occupied, whose glass handles from the inside is lighted LED lights (red means occupied, green means free). For those guests, that feel the Stars on horseback and the day’s program is not yet enough, tickets including evening program are offered.

Abendevent – Exklusiv vom Feinsten / Evening Event – Classiness at its finest

Traditionell wird das Event mit der Welcome Night am Donnerstag eröffnet. Der Stargast dieses Mal war Robbie Williams. Doch es wäre nicht eines der exklusivsten Events in Österreich, wenn das schon alles wäre. Jeder (!!!) Abend der vier Turniertage wird von einem Show Highlight am Abend begleitet. Die Liste der Stars ist bis zum Abend jeweils streng geheim. Unter den diesjährigen Gästen waren aber exklusiv neben Robbie Williams auch Engelbert Humperdinck, Nicole Scherzinger, David Hasselhoff, Sir Roger Moore, John Travolta, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Joan Collins und viele weitere. Alle Gäste der vergangenen Jahre aufzuzählen würde mindestens 50 weitere Namen an dieser Stelle bedeuten (Bsp. Naomi Campbell, Jane Fonda, Tom Jones, Eros Ramazotti, Bo Derek, Bar Rafael, Paul Anka, Orlando Bloom und viele mehr) Eine Abendkarte ist ebenfalls erhältlich, man muss allerdings früh bei Vergabe dabei sein, um eine zu erhalten.

Traditionally, the event with the Welcome Night will be opened on Thursday. The special guest this time was Robbie Williams. But it would not be one of the most exclusive events in Austria, if that was it already. Each (!!!) evening of the four days of the tournament will be accompanied by a show highlight. The list of stars is always top secret until the evening. Among this year’s guests have been alongside Robbie Williams, Engelbert Humperdinck, Nicole Scherzinger, David Hasselhoff, Sir Roger Moore, John Travolta, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Joan Collins and many more. To enumerate all guests in recent years at least 50 more names at this point meant to be written (Just to name a few: Naomi Campbell, Jane Fonda, Tom Jones, Eros Ramazzotti, Bo Derek, Bar Rafael, Paul Anka, Orlando Bloom and many more) A dinner menu is also available then, one must be there early in procurement.

Dieses alljährliche von Hr. Glock inszenierte Event verbindet Springreiten der Extraklasse, kulinarische Höhepunkte sowie internationale Stars hautnah. Herz, was willst Du mehr ?!
