Der Legende nach stammt der Tee aus dem Reich der Mitte (2737 v. Chr), als der chinesische Kaiser Shen Nung, stets auf Sauberkeit bedacht, sich sein Trinkwasser abkochte. Durch einen Windsto\u00df seien dann einige Teebl\u00e4tter in den Kessel mit kochendem Wasser geflogen, die es golden f\u00e4rbten und ihm dazu ein k\u00f6stliches Aroma verliehen.
