Alpine Palace in Saalbach – Background on the region\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Saalbach-Hinterglemm<\/a> has as of 1. January 2017 2.896 inhabitants and is a municipality in Pinzgau in the state of Salzburg in Austria. <\/span><\/p>\n

Saalbach belongs to the Kitzb\u00fchel Alps and lies in a valley running from west to east of the Saalach, the Glemmtal. The oldest evidence of settlement dates back to 1222. <\/span><\/p>\n

After 1945, especially in winter, there was a sustained economic upturn in tourism. In 1991, Saalbach-Hinterglemm was the venue for the Alpine Ski World Cup.<\/span><\/p>\n
