The Luxuryhotel DUKES in Dubai

The DUKES Hotel Dubai could also be described as the “best British” in the United Arab Emirates. With its cosmopolitan luxury and British charm, every guest experiences an unforgettable stay at the luxurious Palm Jumeirah.

The hotel is the sister hotel of the award-winning DUKES London in Mayfair (https://www.dukeshotel.com). The discerning traveler experiences unobtrusive sophistication and a great deal of attention to detail here.

In the restaurants, bars and lounges of the hotel, guests will find a variety of gastronomic delights: Great British Restaurant, DUKES Bar, Champagne & Tea Lounge, Cigar & Whiskey Lounge, West 14th and Khyber.

In addition to a state-of-the-art fitness center and unrivaled views of the marina, guests will find the outdoor infinity pool, lazy river, beach club, DUKESY Kids Club, private beach and an indoor pool on the 14th floor.

The helpful, friendly, fast and competent team of the DUKES ensured a perfect holiday mood at all times. At the front desk was our contact Hany, who could help us with any question about the hotel or Dubai; in the bar Cigar Lounge Sergio.

From check-in to check-out the front desk had everything 100% under control. This included the detailed bill with our extras and the punctuality on the day of departure by limousine transfer to the airport.

Hotel area and security

The entire hotel, the room, the paths, the lobby, the beach club and the beach are very well maintained and extremely clean.

Part of the feeling of well-being is that private security is present at various points within the facility.

As in a good restaurant, the guest at DUKES is not asked at the end of the menu if everything is alright. Already after our first three days we inquired about our well-being and asked if everything was to our satisfaction.

Luxurious Infinity Pool

Whether at the pool or on the private sandy beach of DUKES, the guest enjoys 100% service everywhere. Small dishes and cocktails or a cold beer are also served here on request. The most impressive is the view from the pool or the beach to the skyline of Jumeirah.

Culinary arts at DUKES

Buffet breakfast is served at GBR Great British Restaurant. It is extremely diverse and international: the guest not only receives different egg dishes or fresh waffles and pancakes, but also daily changing warm typical Asian dishes. Of course, the buffet is not missing the fruit, even Dragon Fruits are offered in the morning. At all stations, the food is prepared fresh by the chefs for the guest.

As a guest you are almost spoiled for choice among the various restaurants.

At the booth, at the West 14th Steakhouse, with a breathtaking view of the Jumeirah skyline, we had a juicy burger with live music and on the 15th floor on the balcony in the Khyber restaurant, with an unforgettable view, a fantastic 3-course Indian Menu.

We stayed in a Skystudio on the 16th floor overlooking the marina and “The Palm”. This room type also includes access to the club lounge, where guests can enjoy teatime from 16:00.

The guest can choose from a variety of teas, sweets and sandwiches. The different types of tea you look for yourself by sniffing at one of the various tea tubes.

Between 18:00 and 20:00 is cocktail time. As a club member you can choose from a variety of spirits, champagne, wine and beer.

Club members will also be offered limousine service at the hotel on the day of departure.

The extra charge for a luxurious Skystudio is absolutely justified and we would book it again at any time.

Overall impression of DUKES

The guests of the DUKES are multicultural, as well as the staff. There are different languages spoken and everyone is respectful to each other.

Cleanliness, courtesy and the quality of the food and drinks are on a very high level. The Dukes undoubtedly has an English touch, but also a lot of international charm.

We wholeheartedly thank all employees for this wonderful holiday.
