The beginning of Tennerhof

The Tennerhof, at that time still a simple farm, was first documented in 1416. Due to its special location, the “Tennerhof-Bauer” formerly had the task of keeping an eye on the weather and predicting its development.

Over the centuries, the owner families of the farm change relatively frequently. In 1778 the farm is called “the estate near the Tenner” and has thus found its final name.

In 1957, Eva and Leopold von Pasquali took over the business and converted the original, fairly simple 3-star hotel into an elegant 4-star hotel. In 2000, the Tennerhof was named a 5-star hotel. Since 2007, the hotel is proud member of the Relay & amp; Châteaux -Vereins.

With great attention to detail, the family Pasquali 2017 fulfilled the dream of a brand new luxury chalet. The guest has 3 chaletsuites of the extra class, with a living space of up to 120 m² per chalet suite.

The location and the first impression

The hotel is located on a hillside in the middle of a quiet garden. The first impression when entering the hotel lobby gave us the feeling of charm and attention to detail. The view from the hotel on the world famous Tyrolean holiday resort Kitzbühel is impressive. Behind the hotel up to the Kitzbühler Horn, on the right is the Wilde Kaiser and directly to the front you have a clear view of the legendary race track of the Streif. The exceptional location of the Tennerhof exudes a very special flair.

Diversity in offering

In summer, the hotel guest has the opportunity to go on hikes or bike and mountain bike tours from the Kitzbühel Tennerhof Gourmet & Spa de Charme Hotel.

Winter Season: December 13, 2019 to March 29, 2020
Im Winter offers the Kitzbühel region around the Tennerhof a true paradise for anyone who wants to enjoy skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing or just winter. Of course, we as polo fans also recommend a visit to the Snow Polo.

Room James Bond 007

Ian Flemming (author of James Bond) was sent by his mother to Kitzbühel as a young man. He should improve his language skills for a career in the Foreign Service.

In the then pension – today’s 5-star luxury hotel Tennerhof moved the young man quarters and attended a good private school. He lived in the Tennerhof for many months, whereupon the James Bond room was used to commemorate him. Original James Bond books and Ian Fleming’s notebook invite to exciting reading lessons.

Spa & Wellness

In 2018, the Hotel Tennerhof was awarded the international “Leading Spa Award”. Relaxing above the roofs of Kitzbühel – that’s wellness at Hotel Tennerhof.

In the Spa de Charme, with its exterior & amp; Indoor pool, saunas and steam room, as well as modern rest rooms, we gathered new strength for everyday life.

The interplay of elements: here the water of the indoor pool, the fire of the Finnish sauna, the cool Alpine air outside and the outdoor pool surrounded by the garden with ancient fruit trees, inside the feeling of being deeply relaxed in the panoramic relaxation room and in the Silent Sole room , All this means pure relaxation for the body and mind.

The spa and wellness area is only accessible to hotel guests, so there are no tickets for external guests.

Breakfast at Tennerhof

Who does not like to start the day with a good breakfast? From 7:00 there is the Three-Toque Chef Stefan Lenz with his team in the kitchen, to send the hotel guests with a grandiose buffet and a versatile extra card in the day.

The breakfast was unsurpassed for us in terms of quality and preparation, compared to everything we have seen so far.

Excerpts from breakfast menue:

Omelet “Tennerhof” with Cafe de Paris and wild catch shrimp // Poached organic egg with creamy spinach, smoked ham and lemons hollandaise // Confit organic egg in a glass with garden cress, trumpet mushrooms and creme fraiche // Homemade salmon trout with buttermilk and pumpkin seed oil // Creamy liver of the Lavantan peasant duck with cranberries and brioche // Coconut milk Porridge with passion fruit and roasted almonds

Gourmet-Restaurant „Kupferstube“

The gourmet restaurant “Kupferstube” in the Relais & amp; Châteaux Hotel Tennerhof Kitzbühel has been one of the best restaurants in the country for decades. Chef Stefan Lenz combines the honest, natural taste of regional specialties with fresh ideas of international culinary art. The creative kitchen team was again awarded three toques and 17 points in the Gault Millau in 2019. Thus, the Chef of the Year, Stefan Lenz, is over 30 years old Dome tradition at the Tennerhof successfully continued.

Restaurant at Tennerhof

The half-board with a 5-course menu, also from the kitchen of Stefan Lenz and his team, was convincing in every way! The wine list left nothing to be desired.

Restaurant Römerhof Stüberl

With a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains you can end the day comfortably with a freshly tapped or a glass of Austrian wine.

Fondue and raclette are not only the hit in winter, but are also demanded and enjoyed by the international guests during the summer – a real insider tip in Kitzbühel!

We chose Healthy Bowl with avocado, chicken breast and quinoa, as well as milk calf plant with mashed potato and kohlrabi.

Quality & Taste

Chef Stefan Lenz is not only a creative and passionate chef. His eye for details and origin of the products is impressive. Quality plus skill gives unique taste. In conversation he told us where his goods come from and according to which criteria the producers are selected.

Bread and rolls come from two local bakeries and their own bakery (noteworthy: sourdough, which takes three years).

Stefan Lenz selects only products that come directly from farmers, breeders and farmers, with a focus on class rather than mass and in which a cow, a fish or a sheep are reared in a natural way. There are shepherds, for example, who breed only a small herd of 20 animals. Products that are not from the region are imported. Again, only naturally produced and grown products for the kitchen by Stefan Lenz come into question.

Service

Personal advice and service are the house noticeably at heart. “Grown hospitality” describes the philosophy of the Tennerhof Gourmet & Spa de Charme Hotel Kitzbühel very well.

The Tennerhof places great value on privacy. The hotel guest finds in all areas of the Kitzbühel hotel unobtrusive and warm service by the staff.

The staff speaks several languages and could the interested guest z. B. also give information about regional winemakers in their respective national language.

It was remarkable how easy, friendly, attentive, charming and witt the staff looked after and entertained the young people and the older guests, who had been visiting the house for 40 years.

For a little refreshment during the day, the guests at the pool were also provided with sandwiches.

Our personal conclusion to the Tennerhof

We enjoyed the time in the traditional hotel Tennerhof to the fullest. Idyllic as from a Heidi movie classic, the hotel lies above the rooftops of Kitzbühel. As guests, we felt very welcome in a large hotel family.
