Auf der Anlage des MTTC Iphiotos fanden vom 29. April bis 7. Mai 2017 die BMW Open by FWU München statt.

On the grounds of the MTTC Iphiotos, from 29 April to 7 May 2017, the BMW Open by FWU Munich took place. 

Das besondere an diesem ATP Turnier ist, dass es im Englischen Garten ausgetragen wird. In dieser einzigartigen familiären Atmosphäre, wo Weltklassetennis hautnah präsentiert wird, erlebten wir tolle Tage.

The special thing about this ATP tournament is that it is played in the English Garden. In this unique family atmosphere, where world class tennis is presented, we have had great days in the first week of the tournament.

Preise für den Sieger 🎾 Prices for the winner 

Alexander Zverev, der Sieger der 102. Internationalen Tennis – Meisterschaft von Bayern, erhielt, zusätzlich zum Preisgeld von 85.945€, sowie 250 ATP – Ranglistenpunkten und einer Lederhose von Meindl, einen BMW i8 in der limitierten Protonic Frozen Black Edition. Die Idee zur Lederhose (seit 2015) hatte Veranstalter Michael Mronz. Im Rahmen der BMW Players Night zu Turnierbeginn, wird die eingefrorene Lederhose, nach und nach von Spielern und Gästen bis zum Finaltag zum Schmelzen gebracht.

Alexander Zverev, the winner of the 102nd International Tennis Championships in Bavaria, received a BMW i8 in the limited Protonic Frozen Black Edition, in addition to the prize money of 85.945 € as well as 250 ATP ranking points and a Lederhose from Meindl. The idea for Lederhose (since 2015) had organizer Michael Mronz. Within the framework of the BMW Players Night at the beginning of the tournament, the frozen leather trousers are gradually melted by players and guests until the final day.

Im 125. Jahr des MTTC Iphiotos konnte man den Charakter des Turnieres spüren: Spitzensport, Familienfest sowie gesellschaftliches Highlight in einem tollem Ambiente. Auf den frei zugänglichen Bereichen gab es, neben vielen chicken BMW Modellen auch einen Rolls Royce, der prima vor dem Clubhaus positioniert war. Zudem fanden die Besucher zahlreiche Stände für´s Schlemmen von Feinkost Käfer, einen mobilen Kaffeestand oder für alle, die noch etwas einkaufen wollten, gab eine kleine aber feine shopping mall.

In the 125th year of the MTTC Iphiotos, you could feel the character of the tournament: top sport, family celebration and social highlight in a great ambience. There was, besides many high-class BMW models, a Rolls Royce, which was well positioned in front of the clubhouse. In addition, visitors would find numerous stands for delicacies of Feinkost Käfer, a mobile coffee stand or for those who wanted to buy something else, a small but fine shopping area for tennis equipment.

Vereinsgeschichte 🎾 club history 

Der Verein wurde 1892 an der Leopoldstraße als erster Verein mit Rasenplatz gegründet. Obwohl die Aufnahmegebühr 4 Goldmark betrug und der Jahresbeitrag einer Mitgliedschaft mit weiteren 6 Goldmark zu Buche schlug, zählte der Club bereits einige Jahre später 150 Mitglieder. Heute beläuft sich die Mitgliederzahl auf 1200.

The association was founded in 1892 on the Leopoldstraße as the first club with Rasenplatz. Although the admission fee was 4 gold marks and the annual contribution of a further 6 Goldmark to the membership, the club counted 150 members a few years later. Today the number of members is 1200.

Es gibt keine Garantie, aber mit einem VIP-Arragement stehen die Chancen nicht schlecht, um bei einem geselligen Mittagessen am Nebentisch eines Tennisstars zu sitzen.

The Golden Racket Club by Käfer is a place-to-be for families, customers or business partners. The food and drinks, as well as the service are of the highest quality. There is no guarantee, but with a VIP-Arragement the chances are not bad to sit at the side table of a tennis professional like Tommy Haas.
